What are your hours of operation?

How do I schedule an appointment?

What vaccinations does my pet need to use your boarding, daycare, or grooming services?

All dogs using our boarding, daycare, or grooming services must be current on Distemper/Parvo, Rabies, Bordetella (given within the last six months), and K9 Influenza (CIV). Please bring your dog’s shot records at drop-off. If any vaccines are not up to date, our on-site veterinary team can administer them before your pet’s stay or appointment.

Do you offer urgent or same-day care for sick or injured pets?

Yes. We provide urgent care for pets with same-day health concerns during our regular business hours. If your pet is experiencing a non-routine health issue, please call (775) 322-1199 before coming in so our team can prepare for your arrival. For after-hours emergencies, we recommend a 24-hour emergency veterinary facility in the Reno area.

What should I bring to my pet’s first veterinary appointment?

Do you perform surgery on-site?

Yes. Fantasia Pet Resort and Veterinary Hospital has a fully equipped in-house surgery suite where our veterinarians perform a wide range of general surgical procedures including spay and neuter, mass removals, foreign body extraction, bladder surgeries, wound repair, and more. All procedures are performed with advanced anesthesia monitoring and comprehensive pain management protocols.

Is bloodwork required before my pet’s surgery?

Yes. Pre-anesthetic bloodwork is required before any procedure involving anesthesia. This screening evaluates your pet’s organ function and helps our veterinarians tailor the safest possible anesthesia protocol for your individual pet. How often should my pet have a wellness exam?

We recommend annual wellness exams for pets six years of age and younger, and biannual (twice-yearly) exams for pets seven years and older. Senior pets benefit from more frequent monitoring because age-related conditions can develop quickly. Regular wellness visits are the most effective way to detect health problems early — when treatment options are greatest and outcomes are best.

What are your dog boarding rates?

Our dog boarding nightly rate is $47 for one dog, $84 for two dogs sharing a suite, and $121 for three dogs sharing a suite. A $5 per dog per night holiday surcharge applies during peak periods. All rates include daily Pet & Play, Walk Time, and Day Camp activities, plus once, twice, or three-times-daily feeding. What are your doggy daycare rates?

Full-day doggy daycare is $25 per dog ($22 for additional dogs from the same household). Half-day daycare is $20. We also offer package pricing: 10-day full-day packages are $225, 20-day full-day packages are $425, 10-day half-day packages are $180, and 20-day half-day packages are $340. Because we frequently fill to capacity, advanced booking is highly recommended.

What grooming services do you offer?

Our professional grooming services include: Nails Only ($15), Bath & Brush starting at $35 (includes ears, nails, and gland expression), and Haircuts & Shave-Downs starting at $50 (includes ears, nails, and gland expression). Do you offer microchipping, and why is it important?

Yes. Microchipping is a quick, minimally invasive procedure that implants a tiny RFID chip beneath your pet’s skin, providing permanent identification that can never be lost or removed. It is the most reliable way to reunite a lost pet with their owner and is required for international travel. Microchipping can be done as a standalone appointment or combined with a vaccine visit or wellness exam.

Do you provide health certificates for pet travel?

Yes. We issue both domestic and international health certificates for pet travel. Our veterinarians are USDA-accredited and can complete the required federal forms for international travel documentation. We recommend scheduling at least four to six weeks in advance for international trips and as close to your departure date as possible for domestic travel, since most certificates are valid for only 10 days.
